African American Museum Dallas
African Americans & The Arts Exhibit
This exhibit, curated by Ernest Moore, is a captivating journey through the rich tapestry of African American creativity and expression. It explores the intersections of film, fashion, literature, dance, visual arts, and music that have shaped and influenced culture across generations.
Some of the highlights are historic covers from Sepia and Ebony Magazines, and videos of performances and dance moves from Soul Train. Also included are the complete collection of U. S. Black American Commemorative Postage Stamps.
The works of local artists from the Dallas/Fort Worth area are also showcased. I feel honored to have 2 of my paintings included in this exhibit. I Too Am American #2 and Door of No Return
African American Museum Dallas, 3536 Grand Avenue, Dallas TX, 214-565-9026.
Exhibit dates are February - June 2024.
